The Architect
Kotaro Anzai (ADX Inc.)
Born in 1977 in Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, as the third-generation successor of "Anzai Construction Industry," a family business started by his grandfather. In pursuit of sustainable architecture that coexists with nature, he founded "ADX" (formerly "Life Style Kobo") in 2006. Specializing in architectural design that considers the entire lifecycle of timber, including forestry and forest management, he creates dynamic structures that explore new possibilities of wood. As a Wood Creator, he also gives lectures at universities and corporations both in Japan and abroad. Mountaineering is his lifelong passion.
